NEW VISA /PRECLEARANCE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNTIL 5TH MAY AT EARLIEST

INIS have recently extended the effect of Notice of 29th January 2021 “COVID 19 Visa arrangements,” available at http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/visas-updates.

This Notice has been effective since 29th January 2021 and applies to all countries.

The most recent update on 6th April extends this cessation to “at least 5th May.”

Certain Priority/Emergency cases will continue to be processed including;

  • workers/self employed persons exercising critical occupations eg healthcare
  • transport workers
  • patients travelling for imperative medical reasons
  • persons travelling for imperative family or business reasons

The recent update gives some more guidance on the meaning of “imperative family reasons” confirming that these cases are “largely confined to emergency cases that may arise in a family situation and confirming that this does not include wanting to attend a birth/wedding/milestone birthday.

If you are affected by any of the above, please call us to discuss.
